You may rest assured that if you are requiring a Nanny, Nanny-Housekeeper, or a Mother’s Help, or Maternity Nurse, be it either on Permanent or a Temporary basis the greatest of care will be given as to assessing the suitability for each particular family and job! The candidates’ references are checked by Elaine Johnson (the Proprietor), and of course future Employers/Families will be given up to date telephone numbers of last Employers.

Most Nannies, Mother’s Helps, Maternity Nurses etc do have up to date CRB checks ie an Enhanced Disclosure, however should these need renewing Bunnies Nanny Agency can arrange to put this in hand. It is also necessary that the candidates who are caring for children do have up to date and relevant First Aid Certificates, and again we can arrange to put this updating in progress.

Once a Permanent candidate has been selected and “hired”, then we do encourage the new Family, most strongly that a formal Employment Contract is set up well in advance of the start of the job. Bunnies Nanny Agency will be able to help Parents with a specimen contract which will outline the important points to set out in a Nanny Contract, it will just need adapting to each individual job.

Au Pairs are of course very popular with many families, and we have supplied these boys and girls, (and still do), to a multitude of families in and around Brighton, and into the countryside of both West and East Sussex. Many Families require Long Term Au Pairs, these are wanting to stay for 6 months to 12months. In the Summer there is often a requirement for Short Term Au Pairs, and these are usually the foreign University students who want to come over for just 3 months, sometimes a little less! The Au Pairs are usually aged 18 years – 27 years (they are not permitted to Au Pair if they are older than 27). They are the excellent choice for those Families whose children are a little more mature and probably at school most of the day, but they still need collecting and taking to school in the morning. The Au Pair is invaluable for these families.

If you are requiring an Au Pair it is best to telephone us early on so that we can book a suitable candidate for your job. Sometimes the Au Pair is already over here and just changing families in the UK, and if this is the case, then Bunnies Nanny Agency will interview them personally.
