We also know the whole of the Sussex area both and East and West, as well as Brighton & Hove very well, so have good knowledge of the different areas which is always helpful when perhaps candidates are not sure of different locations themselves!

You will need of course to have had a CRB (Police Check) ie an Enhanced Disclosure. If you haven’t had one done then Bunnies Nanny Agency can arrange for this to be put in hand, but this is of course at your own expense. Also please check your First Aid Certificate, and if perhaps it is now out of date, please contact Elaine Johnson at Bunnies, and I can give you advice on where to go to renew. It is essential you have these certificates.

You will need a current cv which is neatly set out with your childcare qualifications listed, (we require telephone numbers of at least your past 3 Employers). We also need written references. Au Pairs are very much welcomed and we have placed many girls and boys very happily, with good Families over the years. Some Au Pairs want to come on a “Long Term” basis, this for 6/12 months or more. We can advise you on suitable Language Schools and prices etc. We also can introduce you to other Au Pairs, so that you soon make friends! Brighton & Hove is a great area to work as an Au Pair, as it is such a busy lively city, and has many great shops, restaurants, cinemas, and of course the beach and the sea!

Au Pairs also of course wish to come on a Short Term (ie 2/3 month basis), during the Summer holidays, and there is a good demand from families for this arrangement. We welcome many Au Pairs who come back several years running who enjoy coming to look after the children during the summer holidays. All Au Pairs either Long Term or Short Term are required to write a “Dear Family” letter in English, describing themselves and their family background, and childcare (babysitting experience).

I can also arrange for you to come to see me for an interview. You need however, to have an appointment first for this interview.

Bunnies Nanny Agency is also of course interested in Nannies who have spare time in the evenings or at weekends, for babysitting. This especially applies to those Nannies who have their own transport.
